Absolutely love this place. They serve fresh, good quality sushi for a reasonable price. Our service was very friendly. I only wish they were open on weekends.

Food is always great. Can't ever go wrong with a dragon bowl. Perfect amount of meat and rice with a few edamame's.

Delicious chicken bowls and yummy shrimp tempura! So many favorites I will only mention those two. Conveniently located, eat in or take out. One of our favorites here in Seal Beach.

Food - Chicken Bowl was AWESOME! Bite size grilled tasty pieces of chicken. On a bed of white rice and steamed veggies. Veggies were perfectly steamed! Crunch and not mushy. Teriyaki sauce served on the side. Several pods of edamame finish the bowl. Looking forward to sampling their sushi in the future. Service - I ordered my bowl on line. It was very easy and efficient process. Picked up the food and our server was polite and efficient. Ambiance - clean, simple place to dine. It was full...two large parties and several smaller groups. We enjoyed our tasty meal so much we went back for dinner. The dragon bowl was just as tasty as the chicken bowl. We also ordered Washington, Red Dragon, Tiger Roll and some nigiri. The fish was fresh.

Kabuto is such a hidden gem in Seal Beach, and I secretly want to gatekeep this spot! Located near a small center, Kabuto serves teriyaki bowls, rolls, and other sides at a decent price! Every time I get their dragon bowl with beef, chicken, and rice! It's a simple bowl with fresh and clean ingredients. They also advertise themselves as a gluten-free business! Their crunchy roll and nigiri are great, too! The fish tasted fresh, and overall, I have no complaints. Inside the restaurant, they have Japanese art and decorations, which I really enjoy, and there is plenty of seating. It's an ideal lunch spot; just be sure to check their hours, as they are not open on the weekends!

Ate here two nights in a row while staying at the hotel next door! Loved the sushi and dragon bowl was amazing! The salmon nigiri was super fresh as well. Can't forget the nice music they played adding to the vibes. This will definitely be my go to sushi spot next time I'm in town!

5 Star food! I try not to give 5 stars but this place deserves it. Located near the corner of Seal Beach Blvd and Westminister Blvd, this restaurant is located next to Subway. They serve teriyaki bowls as well as sushi. I've been to other teriyaki places and always skeptical on the sushi at these places. I tried their sashimi bowl and their spicy tuna bowl. They are delicious! The fish are fresh, the rice is very good and isn't the bad quality rice at most places, and I got their beef bowl couple times as well and it's very good. You cannot go wrong with any of the food here. I came here around 3:30pm on a weekday when it was empty. I overheard the cashier lady talk Japanese to the chef. I told her that I speak japanese as well and we chatted for a bit. She mentioned that the chef is her husband and I thought it was really nice to see a couple running a restaurant. They are super friendly. On the side note, when you dine-in, the lady delivers your food to your table which is really nice service. They remember your face and brings it to you. What I personally like to see is maybe if they had sriracha for the teriyaki bowls, that would be great! Recommend the food here, came here 3 times this week!

Walked into Kabuto (for a late lunch) on a slow Wednesday afternoon after losing track of time (it was almost 3pm) and was welcomed to the restaurant warmly nonetheless! The reviews aren't kidding about the staff, and especially the apparent owner, who takes time to train, teach, and get to know their employees -- and I was able to gage this only through the 30-minute window in which I had the spacious dining room all to myself! Ordered the Chicken Teriyaki Bowl and paired it with a Tiger Roll -- shrimp tempura IN + salmon/albacore OUT. Although this was a house specialty roll, I would not recommend -- the fish tasted good but was room temperature which was a bit unsettling. No complaints about the CTB. All in all, would definitely return here again soon for a quick lunch bite :) Glad to see things are going well here!
